Get noise right at the source. The Noise Harvester is the world's only device that actually eliminates line noise from the home's power lines. Filters, Power Plants and conditioners either shuffle the line noise away or provide some isolation for equipment, but they do NOT eliminate or remove power line noise. Only the Noise Harvester removes line noise and converts it to another form of energy, light! Give your power conditioner a fighting chance by lowering the noise floor of the power line in the first place.

Power line noise: it’s everywhere.
It comes from light dimmers, computers, cell
phones, TV’s, even stereo and video equipment in your home as well as those of
your neighbors.
Your equipment doesn’t want these power line
noises because they can cause a hard and bright sound on high end audio and HT
systems as well as muddy up the colors of video.
To battle them, we place filters between the
equipment and the AC line. While these help reduce noise feeding into the
equipment, they do not eliminate it.
But now there's a solution that works
Introducing the PS Power Noise Harvester™, the world’s first true power line
noise converter that actually eliminates power line noise – instead of shuffling
it off somewhere else.

What they don’t want you to know
Here’s the dirty little secret none of our competitors want you to know. ALL
power line filters- regardless of design – do not actually eliminate noise from
the power line. Instead, they only shift the noise around from one place to
another!
So noise that comes in the hot side of the line may be sent over to the neutral
or ground side.
But it most certainly is NOT removed or reduced. Even so, there is nearly
always SOME benefit. Just not all you paid for.
Physics 101
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Unless we choose to ignore it, we
only have two choices:
It can be rerouted or it can be converted to another form of energy. It
cannot be destroyed as some marketing materials might suggest.
So let’s assume we definitely want to eliminate the noise, not just hide it
somewhere where it can still cause trouble.
All we can do is convert the unwanted noise to another form of energy: heat,
light, or movement, but we cannot destroy it.
There are several ways to convert it but most have problems: movement makes
sound, so we can’t do that. Heat allows the dissipating device’s properties to
continually shift, so it’s not predictable in its effect.
What we really want is a totally predictable elimination of a totally random
destructive event – AC line noise.
Physics defied?
PS Audio’s newest invention, the Noise Harvester™, does in fact eliminate a
measurable amount of power line noise from your home.
But, we don’t do it by defying the laws of physics. We do it by
taking advantage of them.
The Noise Harvester™ is a plug in module that can be placed on any AC receptacle. Once connected, the
Noise Harvester begins to harvest and redirect the AC line noise into a
storage tank and then converts it to light!
This is perhaps the coolest product we have ever built! Dreamed up by Paul
McGowan and designed and engineered by our resident Hungarian genius, Laszlo
Juhasz after two years of hard work, the Noise Harvester is without question
revolutionary.
Plug the Noise Harvester in and watch it go to work. Each blink of the
Harvester LED is power line noise gone forever.
It’s been converted to light!!!
But is it measurable?
You bet! You can count on PS Power to provide real power solutions that are
both measurable and audible.
If we want to measure the results of the Harvester™ we first need to make sure
there's a steady source of line noise to view on the ‘scope.
There's no better source of line noise than a simple light dimmer. You know,
the kind you probably have in your home that makes everything buzz?
This first ‘scope photo shows what dimmer noise actually looks like if you were
to ‘freeze’ it. The 'noise event' is being shown both in time and level on the
‘scope. See how jagged and nasty looking it is?
What you want is less of this nasty waveform, or even better, just a straight
horizontal line with nothing vertical at all. The loudness of the nasty buzzing
noise is represented here by the vertical information.
This second photo shows the same noise, but notice how much smaller it is.
Why? Because a single Noise Harvester was added to the line, permanently
removing almost half the noise created by the dimmer.
While it’s doing this, the Harvester is blinking like crazy! You can see it
in the included video clip if you'd like.
When more is better
So, if one Harvester is reducing line noise, what happens when you add multiple
Harvesters? Cleanliness!
Harvesters work in parallel, each removing 8 to 10 watts of line noise each
day. The more you have connected, the more wattage converted and the lower the
noise on your power line.
In our sound room we have a small extension strip with 5 outlets. We've plugged
in five Harvesters, plugged the strip into the wall, and the background noise of
the system has gone down dramatically.
So not only is the effect addictive, it’s also additive!
Simply the facts
Typical power line filters either redirect the AC noise from hot
to neutral or place a resistance between the AC source and the connected gear.
The more common Series Filters like those from Monster Cable, Panamax and even
our own Ultimate Series add resistance at noise frequencies between the AC
outlet and the equipment, thus building a partial barrier between the noise and
the gear. They work well to block some portion of noise from the equipment, but
they don’t lower noise on the AC line. Frankly, to some extent they can
be current limiting. Which is where many of them get their “it compresses the
sound” rap.
The less common Parallel Filters, like those from Shunyata and Audience, do not
add resistance but rather redirect, or shift the noise from the hot to the
neutral. They are non-current limiting but much less effective at noise
reduction than a Series Filter.
In either case, power line noise is not actually eliminated on the power line
itself, it is simply redirected away from the equipment and this is far less
effective than actually eliminating it! Only the Noise Harvester collects the
noise, removes it from the house power line and then converts it to light. So
you can SEE noise being eliminated.
So, does it replace my power conditioner?
No, it supplements it. Power conditioners, Power Plants or any type of power
line noise filters reduce line noise by a certain amount depending on their
design.
The less noise you have on the line in the first place, the better your
power conditioner will work. So, the Harvester is your first line of
defense against noise.
Use as many Harvesters as you can to lower the overall line noise in your home.
They can be placed anywhere in the home to do their job and the more the
merrier.
Once the line noise has been harvested, THEN you use your power conditioners,
Power Plants or other noise filtration systems to feed your equipment.
Think of the Noise Harvester like a water filter. Water filters don’t produce
pure water. They produce cleaner water than what went into the filter in the
first place. So, the cleaner the power line is to start with, the cleaner the
power going into your equipment is.
The bottom line?
With any audio system, no matter what brand of power conditioner
you’re using now, you’ll hear the improvement! Plug in just one Noise Harvester
and prepare to be blown away.
However, as we’ve said, the more Harvesters you add to the room, the lower
the noise level on the line. Which is cool, since they’re incredibly small and
affordable devices. They make an immediate sonic and visual improvement.
A word to the wise
We were afraid this might happen. Alas, we were right. At $99.95 each, these
killer new Noise Harvesters are jumping off the shelf with pre-orders. Each one
is hand built and tuned in our Boulder facilities and so we're limited in
production capabilities.
